detox withdrawal

Been taking nubain (IM and SUBCU)for the last 4 years because of vasculitis.from 3 to 4 vials a day. now it's 6 to 8.
2 weeks ago i stopped abruptly taking nubain and replaced it with tramadol-consuming 6-10 vials a day and diphenhydramine (4 to 6 vials a day too.)
didn't experience classic symptoms of withdrawal-chills,cramps,restlesness,anxiety(i guess) etc.
is this normal or should i expect these symptoms later? am i right in abruptly stopping?what should i expect?thanks.

Welcome to the forum kwine.  Tramadol is also an opiate - although it does seem to work on the brain a bit differently than a regular opiate.  In your case, it would be normal for you to not feel withdrawal from the nubain when going to tramadol.  I went through a detox for suboxone a year ago and my doctor used tramadol to help with the withdrawal for the first 6 of 8 days of the detox.  Be careful with the tramadol - I don't have a lot of experience with it, but I have seen lots of information and posts here on medhelp that indicate it can be very dangerous getting off of it - you can't just stop tramadol suddenly.  are you working with a doctor or self medicating?  I see you are from the Philippines - not sure how the access to meds are controlled over there.
