I just read your question, and am a bit confused, maybe you can answer a few questions:

1. Have you abused or been on long term opiates before this three weeks of morphine use?

2. Are you taking MS-Contin (Extended Release Morphine Sulfate), Roxanol (Immeadiate Release Morphine Sulfate, highly doubtful), or Avinza tablets?

3.  Did the same doctor that perscribed you the Morphine perscribed the Valium?

4. Are you quitting cold turkey, or tapering with the same or another opiate?

Jezebel, something doesn't make sense in your posting. 30mg is not a very high dose of oral morphine sulfate, and only taken for 3 weeks should not precipitate a very serious, if any withdrawal symptoms.  I highly suspect, but am not insinuating that possibly you might have had a recent history of opiate abuse, which is fine, but you need to let us know so we can better offer you suggestions, advice, and support on how to make it through this.

Until then, hot baths, clonidine, B-vitamins, amino acid supplements, stretching, EXERCISE (even a brisk walk), meditation, and some positive thinking can go a long way in making it through withdrawal.  If you are on day 3, you are in the middle of the worst, but just about to peak.  It can and will get better. If you have NOT taken ANY opiates in the last 3 days..I would STRONGLY recommend you DO NOT take any opiate.  You have made it through the worst, why set yourself back.  You are doing just fine, you had the power to make it through the worst, don't set yourself back.  Within the next week, the worst will be over, and you will be left with a low lying depressed state of mind (Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome) that can and may last up to a year.  You might also have very minimal W/D symptoms for the next couple weeks after the worst is over.  Nothing intolerable, just what I like to call "noticeably annoying."

Get us all the details on your situation, and we can help you much better.  Take care and keep your head up.  Every second that passes gets you a second closer to freedom.

God Bless,
