Weight gain

why is there excessive weight gain after a hysterectomy. I have gain 70 pounds since the operation.

hi..most women gain 10 lbs 70 is higher than adverage..the first week post op most loose 3 or so lbs due to pain not eating etc,,,,then we start to feel a bit better begin to eat yeat if following Drs orders are still very inactive so this causes weight gain,,then the lack of hormones kicks in and in most cases if hrt is not begun even more weight gain,

Id advise you to speak with Dr about a diet  and exercise plan that is right for your present state of health..
