Cramping after laparoscopy
Hello,

I recently just had laparoscopy done 6 days to be exact. The dr drained a 4cm hema cyst (blood in the cyst) plus he had to clean out my ovary. I've been experiencing a lot of cramping and was just wondering if this is normal?

Thank you, Tesha

A lot of the pain after a laparoscopy is due to trapped gasses.  If you drink ginger or mint tea or take Gas X or Ovol and do some walking you will start to see some relief.  You can also feel worse if you overdo it.  Keep resting, walking is only exercise, no bending, twisting or lifting.  Good luck and hope you are feeling back to normal soon.
