After having a Endovaginal scanning I was diagnosed with an anteverted uterus which measured 9.1 cms L x 4.6 cms AP x 4.8 cms T. Posterofundal 1.9 cms x 1.7 cms x 1.6 cms myoma. Endometrium measures .66 cms. Multiple Nabothean Cysts at cervix. A Complex 2.1 cms x 1.6 cms x 2.5 cms cyst with linear internal echoes. Right ovary measured 1.8 cms x 1.2 cms x 2.1 cms. Left ovary measured 2.1 cms x 1.6 cms x 2.0 cms. No adnexal masses. Cul de sac free from fluid. Impression: Myomataous uterus. Complex Nabothean Cyst.
WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN?
There are no ovarian cysts mentioned and that's what we mostly talk about here.
I had to look up these words myself just to give you some kind of answer.
The medical words translated:
Anteverted: means uterus is at the more common tilt--so that is normal.
Myoma: means fibroids are in the uterus (myomatous uterus)--these need to be watched and may require treatment or removal, now or in the future.
Nabothean cysts occur only on the cervix--this is a benign condition.
