Hi,
How is your son? Muscle spasms can be caused by muscular and neurological disorders, conditions such as metabolic disorders, presence of toxins, dehydration, or  deficiency in electrolytes can also be responsible for muscle spasms. If it persists, have this evaluated further by his doctor. His medical history, physical and neurological examination and some diagnostic tests will help determine the underlying cause. Take care and best regards.
