B12 shots

by tracey123, May 30, 2009 06:37AM
I had a question. Is anyone out here taking B12 shots and at what level do you think it warrants taking shots instead of just the sublingual tablets 1,000 mg once  a day. They did my blood test at it was suppose to be in the range of 500-1000 by lab standards. Mine came back at 389 and the doctor said I didn't need shots just to take a supplement. This seemed pretty low to me. I wanted to know what levels other people had that had there doctor have them start taking B12 shots. I am going to have my doctor retest my levels in a month and see if there coming up if not I might consider getting the shots. Thanks for any info.

Hello and welcome.  You may want to try to do a community search bcz I recall others taking the B12 shots in the past, but I'm not too well versed in that area.
