Could I be hyper?

by tracey123, Jun 02, 2009 05:54AM
As you all know I started taking Natur-throid this past week because I was having heart palps with the new Armour. Since I have been on the natur-throid I have not had any more heart palps but yesterday I could not sit still. I notice that in the mornings after my first dose which is 1 1/2 grains I feel nauseous if I don't eat soon after I take it. I have been being hot all the time. I also have not been eating very much anymore. I know these can be signs of hyper. I asked my doctor at the last visit what my T3 was and it was 195 which he said is on the higher end and we wouldn't want it any higher. My TSH is .00 since being on the Armour which I know being on it can tend to supress your TSH. He does not test my T4 because he goes by my T3 and my symptoms. Do you think I should decrease my dose? Any help would be appreciated.

If  your TSH is .00 you are way too surpressed.  That is making you extremely hyperthyroid.  I have never heard of Armour or the Natur-throid so I can't comment on your dose.  But I would definitely look into that more.
