PCOS and Hyperthyroid
Hi, I'm 40 and was diagnosed with PCOS 20 odd years ago - overweight, hairy etc. I just did a health assessment and the blood tests showed TSH <0.010. I.e. undetectable so I am going to see my GP tomorrow. How is it possible to have hyperthyroid and be overweight?
Checking the other symptoms I would agree with excessively tired, light periods and not much else. Does the PCOS mess with the overactive thyroid and balance each other out or something?
Thanks

light periods, hair & weight gain are surely because of pcos. balancing out does not seem possible. Both conditions need to be dealt independently.good luck!
