Before treatment Blood pressure was 130/90 however after taking medication the next BP reading rose to 160/90.Also platelet count decreased from 277 to 182 after medication.
He has been under medication and vitamin D suplements for around 1 and half month , but has not found much relief in body ache and weakness.Around how much time would it take to cure secondary hyperparathyroidism using vitamin D supplements .Also according what other factor may be causing other readings also to go out of range? Can you pls suggest what kind of diet should such a patient take to cure this secondary hyper PTH at the earliest .
Secondary Hyperparathyroidism is a bit more complicated because it’s usually stemming from some other illness. I don’t get the picture of what that is from what you shared (but you don’t have to mention it either). Even if I did know, it wouldn’t matter - secondary hyperparathyroidism is one that needs to be guided by your dr, because of the complexities.
Sorry to be so vague. I wish your father well and admire that you’re caring enough to take the time to find answers for him.
