For the past 10 years I have suffered with all sorts of health issues, depression, anxiety, insomnia, sweating the list goes on and on.
I had my thyroid levels tested back then and have done since they always came back normal. I persued my health problems for a couple of years and then just decided I would just bash on - did not care anymore.
I have been bashing through all this time - recently I mentioned to my doctor that I had had a ultrasound by another dr about 4 years ago which showed I had multi nodule goiter, as I now have terrible pain in my shoulders, neck and back with sweating - the sweating I have had on an off all this time.
My dr did blood tests again which came back normal, but sent me for another ultra sound on my thyroid. The results are as follows I am petrified - go for a needle biopsy on Thursday.
Multi small nodules present throughout both thyroid lobes in keeping with multinodulare goitre. Largest nodule is 7mm in the upper pole which is cystic and solid. Largest in the left lobe of thyroid is complex in vascularity and microcalcification 8 x 4 x 5mm in the upper pole. There appears to have been an increase in the number of nodules scattered through the thyroid since the previous examination.
I am wondering if all this could have happened from not having thyroid problems diagnosed. It looks like I may have cancer and I am very worried.
