I live in Seattle and there are clinics at Harborview, Swedish and Prov that deal exclusively with depression/anxiety/panic/agoraphobia/PTSD ect.
As was stated above, ANY psychiatrist can diagnose the specific type of anxiety you have and prescribe the correct treatment AND refer you to a therapist who deals with these issues.
I don't know where you've been seeking help, but to hear you say nobody will help you is way beyond my understanding, especially in Seattle.
Hell, 99% of the population is on SOMETHING for the rain alone!
If you can't find help soon, PM me and I'll get you some names.
Peace
Greenlydia
I feel like I'm in the same boat as Blue. I don't want to die, but I can totally relate to that statement because I'm not living. Klonopin is something that you take every day, correct? Not like Xanax or Ativan, which are generally as needed? Did you notice a huge difference by adding this in with an SSRI versus the SSRI on its own?
Any psychiatrist can help with this. Be sure to let him know all the medications you have tried and haven't worked. Normally, an antidepressant is prescribed along with an anxiety medication. See what the doctor has to say, Klonopin is widely used for anxiety and has sure helped me! Good luck.
