health anxiety is killing me

I am at my breaking point I think. I am currently convinced I have a blood clot in my left leg because the calf is slightly painful and the mid back thigh has a sensation. I am constantly thinking that I am going to drop dead from something. From stroke, from heart problems from DVT. I woke up today with this sensation in my left leg and did some research and now I am questioning what to do. I am sitting here just exhausted with this anxiety and just want to accept my fate.....that I am going to drop dead from something. I go through these periods where I just go from doctor to doctor looking for the cause of symptoms that any normal sane person would not blink an eye at. From what I read the majority of people who have a blood clot have pain so bad they get scared and finally go to the doctor but I am thinking to myself....are there people who have blood clots and have minimal or no symptoms and so I research that and guess what yes there are! I convince myself that I am that one person that symptoms sneak up on. Right now I am at work and can barely function with the worry. How do you all cope with this.

First, are you in therapy to see if you can change this kind of thinking?  Second, you can't diagnose yourself from the internet.  So many people on here do this, but you can't because the same symptoms will show up in hundreds of possible problems and you don't have hundreds of problems.  The internet can be helpful when you have a diagnosis and a recommended treatment to see if your doctor is doing what seems right when it seems wrong -- but before a diagnosis it's useless.  It just makes you crazy.  If you really think you have a blood clot, see a doctor.  If you really think you don't, see a therapist.
