Pains in Stomach and Back

Every morning when I wake up I have these pains in my stomach and on both sides of my back. My doctor keeps telling me its anxiety and put me on clonopin 1mg. 2x a day. I've been taking it for about 6 months and I still have the pain. I also have alot of headaches in my temples and on the top of my head. I also get this pain between my eyes that feels like I am going cross-eyed. And at times I feel like I amalking around in a dream. When the anxiety really gets bad my whole body goes numb. This has been going on for years. I talked to a number of doctors, tried theraphy, but nothing seems to work. I can't take antidepressants because I have terrible reactions to them. I've tried over twenty of them. It seems like every time I turn around I have a new symptom. Pains in my head, numbness, dizziness, tiredness, tightness in my chest, shortness of breath, agoraphobia, and on and on.  Its a terrible cycle that I can't get out of no matter what I do or try. I have to force myself to go out at times. I even lost my job over all this, but I just keep pushing on. For some reason from 1997 to 2001 most of my symptoms disappeared, but after my Mother's death they all came back. I know there are alot of people out there that think they are the only ones. YOUR NOT ALONE.

I am sorry that you are having problems with this right now, but stress can cause many physical symptoms as you already know.  Trusting the doctors is sometimes a hard thing to do, but you said these symptoms went away and then came back.  During that time when you were feeling better, were you lessed stressed?  In my opinion, deaths in the family can trigger anxiety in a huge way...this is how it started for me.

You are also not alone...please keep sharing your experiences and questions with us.
