There are all sorts of symptoms that can arise from panic/anxiety. They can be both physical and mental. It can also be very scarey, especially the first time around. The answer to your question is yes, it could be due to anxiety. I always suggest first going to your doctor to get the all clear medically, which is the VAST majority of cases here. Then confronting the issue is the most important step you can take in my opinon. Have you ever sought the help of a therapist to talk over your fears and concerns? Please know you are not alone here and feel free to ask as many questions as you would like...keep us posted.
Anxiety can manifest itself in a number of different ways. I personally experience trouble with my vision (blurriness) when I'm feeling really anxious and stressed out. My father has also dealt with anxiety and said he always felt that his vision was blurry. I haven't experienced problems with memory, but I have heard of others who suffer from anxiety experiencing short-term memory loss.
Hope this helps!
