Anyone good on hormones?

Anyone good on hormones?

I've been seeing a doctor regarding my nutrient levels after I was drained during a manic episode last year that lasted for four months.  One of the last things we are looking at now after I have got a lot of my other levels back up through supplements is testosterone.  I'll be using a cream, any tips or tricks around this would be great.

Also I've been given cortisol previously to help me in the morning as that was really low also, I'm thinking I should probably stop taking that in the early stages as Testoserone is a precursor to cortisol (I think).  what would be the effect if I took both?  Would the higher cortisol level maintain the level of testosterone as less would be required to be broken down to make cortisol?

Could there be a very high release of cortisol instead?

My wife is really concerned as she took took some testerone a few years ago when her levels were really low and completely flipped out, we are both a little bit once bitten twice shy.
