Chemotherapy after colon cancer surgery

by Porgy, May 13, 2009 10:30AM
I just had stage II adenocarcinoma colon cancer removed two weeks ago. The decision to have chemo is being left up to me, and I find the percentages for relapse aren't that much better with chemo as opposed to not having treatment. What is the normal protical for someone facing this dilemma?

Thank you,
Porgy

Hi,
For stage II colon cancer, chemotherapy is the normal protocol recommended.
It provides statistically significant clinical benefit in terms of improvement in survival.
All the best, and God Bless!
