Hi,
What was the exact pathology report?
Dysplastic cells means that under the microscope, these cells appear different from normal cells. Dysplastic cells can occur in precancerous conditions or in frank cancer. Squamous cell carcinoma is a common type of lung cancer. At this point your mother needs to undergo further investigations to determine the origin of the dysplastic cells. If the presence of cancer is confirmed, she would need to undergo a complete staging workup before discussing the treatment options.
She must seek the opinion of an oncologist quickly.
All the best, and God Bless!
