PFO closure

PFO closure

I had a PFO closure done through a clinical trial.  You aren't supposed to know whether you have a device or not for a period of time, but I have no doubt that I got the device.  Migraines stopped 100% and I can feel it when I lean forward.  I am seven weeks out and have chest pain after going to the gym.  I have been examined by my personal cardiologist as a general follow up for early heartbeat.  I sounded good and my EKG was normal.  The trial doesn't do an echo until 1 yr later.  Should I be concerned about the chest pain?  I assumed if there was a problem with the device something debilitating or obvious would happen.  This pain is more of an annoying, nagging sensation like maybe the device is rubbing or something.  Has anyone experienced something similar?

It is reassuring that your cardiologist has not found anything wrong and your EKG is normal. I would suggest continuing follow up and advice of your cardiologist
