Not Healing after Prostrate surgery

A friend of mine  had his  prostrate  removed  about  5 months now and still  has not healed, he is still using his catheter, doctors talk about  a special case , and of  re constructive surgery. Can  you shed some  light .

Thank you for your question. In my experience, several of my patients are immediately continent after catheter removal; approximately 6 weeks after surgery.

Obviously, I am not familiar with this case, but given the chronic incontinence, they may be discussing the use of an artificial urinary sphincter.
