Sir ,my father has gone through external beam radiation therapy for advanced stage prostate cancer in TATA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL,Mumbai,India 1 and a half year ago.Not immediately but after 1 year, blood is seen to came out with stool .I already asked you about this. And you have also answered.I am really thankfull to you.
Last time I forgot to ask you one question. He is also feeling a pain in lower right of his abdomen while he walks or do some work.He is also suffering from diarrhoea & indigestion (after 1 and half year of radiation),irregular and frequent bowl problem  (from childhood).Sometimes mucous and blood come out with stool after radiation therapy. He is alergic (allergic) to spicy and oily food also.He feels as if he is also suffering from collitis. Is it so?
He already went through APPENDICTOMY in 1973,GALLBLADER OPERATION in 1993 and ORCHIDECTOMY after radiation.
I would be very grateful to you if you answer my question as soon as possible.

Thank you for your question. Gastrointestinal symptoms are often hard to pinpoint the cause. This abdominal pain could be a consequence of the radio-therapy. Again, a physical examination, colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy is warranted to rule out any serious co-existing disease.
