    * Cough or cough with bleeding
    * Difficulty swallowing
    * Enlargement of the thyroid gland
    * Hoarseness or changing voice
    * Neck swelling
    * Thyroid lump (nodule)

Are these symptoms also for a benign thyroid nodule or a sure indicator of cancer. I have all of these except the hoarseness/changing voice, cough w/ blood, or the difficulty swallowing, but the rest i am expieriencing, my noduel is a little over 2 cm and i only noticed it 3 wks ago! Is this bad, i have no insurance and couldnt get an apt w/ health dept until thursday. I am terrified!

Hi,

I'm not a med professional at all, just a patient --- I would think they vary but always best to ask your doctor.  I had nothing that I could feel at all .. only my doctor felt my lumps!
