I am currently 7 weeks pregnant. My TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh was 3.44 at 4.5 weeks. I was on 62.5 mcg of Synthroid. Last year while I was pregnant I had similar results and I was raised to 88 mcg which took me to 1.6 TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh. I was on this dose until 22 weeks pregnancy when I lost my baby and my TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh stayed between 1.6 and 2.0 the whole time.
This time around, my new doc (same practice) would not raise my Synthroid to 88 mcg and insisted on only going to 75 mcg. I said this wouldn't be enough. Well, at 7 weeks pregnancy my TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh is now at 4.5. Now she wants to raise my meds up to 100 mcg. I feel that this is way to high of an adjustment and fear hyperthyroidism during pregnancy more than being cautious about raising the dosage. I never had to go that high last pregnancy and I am concerned. What do you think would be the best level to raise the meds too?
