I'm confused too. Here's the thing: you can only change your own behavior. You cannot change his behavior. If you don't like how you are being treated in this relationship, then set up boundaries. Meaning, if you don't like paying for everything, then don't. If you don't like being manipulated, then either say that, call him out when his does, or leave the relationship. People will treat us the way we allow ourselves to be treated. You can't expect him to change; you have the make the changes.
