im 43 and male
i have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and in the last 2.5 years i have had biopsy's and pit tests and scans as well as every other test going
i started on thyroxetine 25mg and in 2.5 years i went upto 225 and am now back down to 125 i hit every dose in that range and currently take 125 one day 150 the next
i have grown breasts as the levels were so wrong
im also having to take testosterone replacement as those levels were low also
i am currently depressed and saw a specialist but they are reluctant to prescribe antidepressants as my thyroid still isnt under control
am i expected to get more and more depressed and not be given a antidepressant because of this
this has been going on for 2.5 years now will it ever get any better
currently having bloods done bi-monthly by my doctor
but my endo specialist i see once every 6 months
thats if he hasnt cancelled the appointment on me without letting me know like they did last time
