Synthroid and Persantine

by Daisyluv, Sep 30, 2007 09:32AM
HELP I picked up my Persantine and swallowed it instead of my synthroid first thing this morning......now what?
Can these two pills be taken at one time? Persantine is a substitute for asprin which I am allergic to. I have to take Persantine for arterial problems. Usually I take the synthroid then about two hours later...most days I take my other pills.
What happens if I this ONE time take these two pills together?

Anxiously awaiting a response.........Thank You!

if persantine is like aspirin, then it should be taken hours away from synthroid, for both will interfere with thyroid medication absorption.  one or once in a while should not make too much of difference because thyroid medication in  accumulative, saying, each and every  pill  stays in our system for approx. 6 1/2 days.  however, I wouldn't make a habit of it.

you'll be fine.
