Why do I itch so bad

My neck is constontly itching in the front right where it joins my shoulders. There is no rash. It has been doing this for about 3 months now. Sometimes it gets raw from me rubbing on it to stop the itch. Any ideas?

Do you have a thyroid condition?  An itching neck is not a symptom of a thyroid condition that I've heard.
