I had a friend who got one on her neck after getting a mole removed and she used some type of liquid.  I think she got it from her doctor.  I know there is something called Mederma for scars but not sure if it works for keloids.

Some dr's will give steroid shot in that area to help.

There are all sorts of treatments for keloids besides surgery. Silicone is one of the best methods for treating keloids. I had one above my eyebrow from a piercing and used a silicone gel to treat it. Look at biodermis.com to get some information and possible options.

Hope that helps!

i'm not sure if this will work for you..but it work for keloids that occur from getting a piercing so maybe try it..it couldn't hurt.  but you need natural sea salt.  all you gotta do is mix a little water with the sea salt to make a paste, then poke the keloid scar with a needle to open it up (sterilized of course!! u can soak it in rubbing alcohol for about 30 seconds or so) then pack the sea salt mixture on the keloid.  cover it with a gauze to keep it on and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.  obviously one treatment won't get rid of it instantly..but it's an alternative to surgery or cortisone shots.  u should notice it start to shrink after a few treatments.  don't treat more than once a day or every other day though..it won't do any good.

Hi- I didn't realize my skin keloided until I was having a bump on my head removed and mentioned to the dermatologist that i had a tiny freckle on my stomach that looked like it might have changed shape...rather than biopsy it - he just numbed it- razored it off- and it left a dime size keloid that was far worse than any freckle! it stood out  so much!  the next time i went, he gave me an injection of some sort i think a steriod and it helped to flatten the raise of it...but you still end up with the scar...no matter what. i should've thought more about my scars and i would have realized that i had other keloids instead of just thinking the scars i had were bad ones...
