i do not bite my nails...  my cuticles grom way up on my nails
what can i do for myself w/out paying a salon?

When your in the shower. push back the cuticles with a cuticle pusher or something good to push and remove dead skin in the shower. The warm water softens this and will be easy to remove.

I think they sell nail polish stuff that tastes bad so when you go to bite them they will turn u off of biting them again.

Typically people stop biting their nails when they want better looking nails. Grow them out by using some kind of cuticle oil or cream.

In the mean time try using a top coat of some kind for sheen and just file them so they look still short & pretty. Long nails doesn't mean beautiful - long nails can look tacky.

You have a common condition called Terrigiam, (misspelled). It is simply where the cuticle grows at a fast rate up the nail. Soften, then use a nail pusher to push them back and then cut them off. You will need to keep an eye on them frequently. Use olive oil or some other cream or oil to soften them often to keep them from looking dry.
