Typically bird bones heal up in about 5-7 days depending on the size of the bird. But then there is physical therapy that needs to be done to ensure good movement, grasp and circulation.

Do you know how to splint a leg properly to get good alignment?

Do you know the proper diet for young mockingbirds? And how will you prepare the young bird for release - knowing how to find its own food, fly well and recognize predators?

These are all things that need to be considered. And actually, unless you have a permit to do rehab for wildlife, it's not legal to keep the bird very long. Being a good samaritan is great but ideally, the bird should go to a facility or licensed homecare person to finish the process so the bird can be released and have a better survival rate. Please consider this.
