neck and shoulder pain

I got injured at work and i was taken to the clinic and evaluated and given medication for pain for neck and shoulder sprain injury. Did 3 mris on my shoulder, the first result was bursities, the second mri report was tendinosis and the doctors said the tendinosis was resolved without treatment or theraphy and put me back to full duty where i reinjured my shoulder again and the 3rd mri showed that the tendinosis the doctors said was resolved was still there and i am still having the pains. I was sent to an Accupuncturist who told me that the injury affected my nerves but the workman's compensation doctors said it was not true.

I did 2 mris on my neck, the 1st showed a mild bulge in the C6-7 intervertebral disc, the second mri is mild narrowing at C4-C5 level, c3-c4 central canal stenosis, c4-c5 minute posterior central disc protusion effaces the anterior thecal sac. AP diameter central canal 8.5 mm consistent with mild central canal stenosis. Neural foramina patent, c5-c6 posterior disc osteophyte an minute posterior central disc protusion with ap diamenter central canal at 8mm consistent with central calal stenosis, c6-c7mild central canal stenosis. c7-t7 unremarkable.

The workman's compensation doctors are saying that these are all normal. For the past one year, i have been taken to the ER a couple of times where i was treated for pinched nerve, neck pain, muscle strain, sprained neck and back and muscle spasm. The pain on my neck and shoulder is getting worse. Sometimes the pain on my shoulder shoot down my arm and my arm swells up. There will be tingling, numbness, weakness. Could someone please tell me what is going on. Before the injury, i was not having any pain but now, i cannot go a day without pain Please help. Thank you

HI...depending on ur age the WC is right ......that DDD is a normal part of aging.However, since u have been to the Drs only after the accident at work and have been treated repeatedly I would appeal the decesion.Ur dr should be able to assist u.DID u see the WC dr for the time specified for ur state?

Each state may have different rules for WC.....make sure u look and see that u followed the rules and laws and if so appeal.

been off two months work in medical field severe neck pain and back also arms and leg coctor said spain of neck tried terapy did not work had mri said mild spondylitic changes/congenitally narrow ap diameter of cervical spinal canal no central stenosis or abnormal cord but c5-c6 mild to moderate loss of disc signal there is a very small posterior diffuse disc bulge minimally effacing ventral csf signal intenisity otherwise intact.c4/c5 the same pretty much, help what wrong how is this treated.

Seek the advice of an attorney that deals with WC cases. I was injured in 2/07 of R. Knee and again with injury to neck inn 11/07. Got an attorney in 3/09. Found that WC would continue paying claims. Had FCE done 11/08. They still haven't paid me for the rating. Said injury to neck for pre-existing since I had injury and surgery 11 years ago. Since it had been over a year since accident, I could not appeal. Sad you have to be knowedgable with law when an injury occurs at work. On 10/03/08 my supervisor came to my cubby and asked me for how long were my restrictions for? I told her I didn't know, that depended on the healing and if I would need surgery. Well long stor short, 45 mins. later she came back and said the had been discussing and could no longer allow me to work there, I was a liability. Also found out that after another girl had knee surgry R/T Wc, she was told they were sorry, but they didn't have any work that she could do comparable to what she wad doing. She was out the dooe.

So my advice to you would be SEEK CONSULATION WITH AN ATTORNEY. They usually do not charge for an attorney. They will not take your case unless they think they can win. In Ga. They get 25% of $$$$ received. That's ok with me, That is better than what I am receivind now.

Sorry for the length, but I tend to get on my soap box when it comes to WC. It's like you are dealing with the mafia. What benefits you get you have to wait and wait to get them. Good luck in getting the services and benefits you deserve. Have the done a test that will determine the % of disability you have. If not the MD needs to do. Will be praying for you.
