my oscars was chasing one another and the one got scraped on the side quite badly (scales off as in a bad white flesh spot) know i noticed that it looks like mold shooting out on the wound (the "mold" looks like the kind that groes on fruit that's going off - kind of long hairs) i don't know what to do! . please help!!!
The best thing you can do is isolate the sick fish. If you have another tank, it would be a good idea to catch the Oscar, and put it in another tank. If you have a local fish store, maybe you can buy some medication for your sick Oscar but the sick Oscar has to be isolated in another tank. Don't medicate both fish, only the one that's sick. We live in Canada. which of course makes us Canadians. Aquarium Connections are available on the internet.
