Colostomy Reversal Post Op Protocol

I was just curious as to how soon after a colostomy reversal a person should get out of bed? Her colostomy was located in her upper abdomen between her belly button and her breast bone. My mom had a reversal done and I am confused about her post-op treatment. I am trying to get some answers.
