I have a Wtihings device and I like it. However, I think the fat % is pretty far off. I had my fat % measured using calipers and it was 14%, but my scale says it's about 23%. I think the fat % is more useful for trending purposes than as an absolute value.
I used a Fitbit before and I liked it. I bought two more for my parents for Father's Day, so that they can compete against each other. I've never tried the premium services. If you decide to do the premium services, let me know what you think.
