Chronic sinisitis and swollen lymp nodes with no infection or allergie history?

Anyone's knowledge or help on this post is greatly appreciated. I'm 22 and currently diagnosed with chronic sinisitis by my local physician after he looked down my throat. I have no green or yellow mucous though my nose is staying inflamed and irritated (no polyps or deviated septum). My occipital lympnodes and also a neck lympnodes are swollen and have been since I've had this(month and a half). When I run or play a sport my ear will close up an unclose like something's in it but there's not. My nose is usually stuffy and Ill get a brief shooting pain (moderate) sometimes where my right occipital lymp node is swollen depending on how i turn my head. Has anyone ever had chronic sinusitis or swollen lymp node pain? I've seen a doc, he did a head ct scan, chest X-ray, blood work all was normal... can anyone relate or give some knowledge? It's greatly appreciated!

Hi!
Symptoms of stuffy nose and blocked ear do indicate that you have chronic sinusitis. This can cause swollen lymph nodes. Also, ear infections should be ruled out. EBV infection or infectious mononucleosis is another possibility. If you do not have allergies, then gastric reflux can also be the cause. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
