a question about injury

a question about injury

Until last tuesday, I was doing great! Had my op in Jan, 2011 caused from acute diverticulitis. I was babysitting my 3 yr old grandson and the unthinkable happened. In the midst of the common tantrum, he nailed me good in the abdomen- both hands with a hard shove, on the incision site and on my stoma. It literally dropped me to my knees and I had to lie down. It made me nauseated instantly and was extremely painfull. It bleed for a half hour and is very tender to the touch. 2 days later now, and it still hurts, not as bad though. I feel like Ive been hit by a truck. My question is, has anyone ever experienced this, or a similiar injury to the op area? Should I be concerned about hernia or something else? Any help here appreciated.

Thanks,
JilH

Oh my !! I just saw this post. I had an injury just days ago, it happened just from getting out of bed, I felt as though something tore inside, and it bled alot, I put pressure on it for almost a half an hour and it quit, it still hurts alot inside. You got hit though, so maybe you should consult your doctor about it. I hope all is well for you now !! Peace and Love !!

I am a new ostmate, and I was wondering what would occur if something like this should happen to me.  I live one 1 1/2 hour to the hospital, and I am very active.

Thanks,

Joy
