Weight and eating

my dog is eating but not much and when he does eat a lot he does not gain weight. his weight stays the same. should i be worried?

It's OK. I imagine your vet would want to do some blood work, check his thyroid. Also check for any parasites (stool sample). Hope you get some answers.

You could add a little chicken broth to his food to make it more appealing to him.As far as weight gain sometimes it takes a little time for them to put weight on.You want any weight gain to be gradual that way it is more muscle than fat.There is a high calorie paste called Nutra paste and it helps maintain weight and help with weight gain.Alot of vets and pet stores carry it.

he does get some people food at times, he has not really gained any weight for a couple of years. how much does that paste cost?
