You may have boughten the wrong sex. Usually it's a territorial thing with hamster. It happened to me, had a male, bought a male (didn't want little hamster babies!) and they fought like none other. Sometimes it's the same with female and female as well. It's usually a territory thing, and it probably won't get better unless you seperate them. Maybe just put their cages beside each other?

Syrian Hamsters (bigger hamsters) have to be kept alone or they will fight until death.  If you have dwarf hamsters they are known to be okay in groups mostly if they are introduced when one of them is young (or if they are brother/sisters).

If they are still fighting, please separate them immediately.
Depending on what kind of hamster you have, you may not be able to keep them together. Syrian hamsters need to live alone or they will fight to one's death. Dwarf hamsters CAN live together in same sex pairs/groups, but usually only when they were brought up together. After they've been alone for even a week, they may get very territorial.

I had two same sex sibling dwarf hamsters.  The did fine together for about 4 months then all of sudden they started fighting and one almost put the others eye out.  They lived out the rest of their lives apart!

Hamsters are unsocial animals
and are perfectly fine by themselves

there not like rats that need company and get lonely.
